This event repeats on the first Friday of every month.

This is our regular first-Friday CT Diner run to the Town Line Diner in central CT (Rocky Hill). People tend to show up around 7pm and stay until 10 pm and later. Sometimes much later. Look for the tables in the back full of people with ears and tails.

musings

Is it sad that I recognize the fursuits of people I have never met, even online. I have never been to a con, or even (knowingly) been in the same room as more than one other fur.

I surf the interwebs that much.

Pear Tart

  • Nov. 28th, 2009 at 3:16 PM
Part of my contribution to this years Thanksgiving Dinner was dessert. While my chocolate mousee disappeared, my pear tart never quite got out of the kitchen. That just means more for me as far as I'm concerned. It made a lovely Saturday morning breakfast.

Question for Canadians:

Is there a big difference for you guys between ordering on Amazon.com and Amazon.ca? I am debating whether it's really necessary to sign up for the Associates program with Amazon Canada when I'm already signed on for Amazon.com. I did sign up for Amazon.co.uk's program, primarily so that I can give the Europeans, Ozzies and Kiwis proper links to R2/4 PAL versions of DVDs, and I've submitted applications to Amazon.fr and .de, although I have no idea whether they approve sites in English.(I'm guessing they do. It would be rather unlike Amazon to decline to sell anything to anybody, provided it's legal to ship it to wherever it's going.) I'll hit Amazon.co.jp as soon as I remember properly obsequious business Japanese.

The whole point of this, incidentally, is that if anybody happens to buy something via the link from here, Amazon will give me Amazon money. Kind of like Canadian Tire money, except I get to buy books with it. I've got running lists of the stuff I recommend in progress, which I'll probably post tonight when I wake back up.

Gingerbread Fire

  • Nov. 28th, 2009 at 1:52 PM
Well, I discovered that I might be allergic to Starbucks Gingerbread loaf this morning when my face became full of fire. It's all good...I can still drink the Gingerbread lattes. I'm about to go get my eyebrows waxed. I have learned the hard way that I'm incapable of doing this myself without looking like a clown.

I invented a horse bong for Thanksgiving. I also posted about Patrick Stewart who just released a piece about his troubled childhood full of domestic violence. Even Captain Picard had family problems. Something to think about.

Also, this comic I did about DRM is making it's rounds about the internetz and generally causing a shitstorm flamewar wherever it goes.

Later I'll go watch some Japanese Pro Wrestling. BRB.

for any Jack Kerouac fans...

I've made six icons of Jack Kerouac, just incase anyone's interested?
One is with Neal Cassady and one is with William Burroughs.
All are in black and white. Find them under the cut.
