Is "Surreal Mentality" coming back?
Quite possibly. After chatting with several friends concerning the world of webcomics and how to go about getting one running, I realized that I had to do something I loved. It's been a long time since I've done goofy jokes centered around bizarre characters, full of non-sequitors and complete randomness, and going through my binder of Surreal Mentality stuff, I had forgotten how much I loved doing that. Who cares if it doesn't make sense? It's a goofy dragon!
I make no promises, of course. Life has a way of getting in the way of everything, and what seems like a good idea now could cause me to be utterly bored in a month. But right now, the idea is very attractive to me, and it's something I'm going to play around with and see what I can accomplish before I get tired of it. Hopefully I won't get tired of it.
As for the doodle, to the left is Dodge's older brother, Trent, and to the right is Trent's boyfriend Aaron. Though the characters are cartoon animals, I'm trying to avoid furry stereotypes, and I have an unfortunate feeling that these two are going to bring that up when they're introduced. But that won't be for quite a while (assuming I ever get the strip up and running) so I'm not gonna worry about it.
